Goats On The Roof – Tiger, Georgia - Atlas Obscura

“You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy a goat. And that’s basically the same thing.” If this rings true to you, you should plan your rest stop at Goats On The Roof.

Goat lovers and regular travelers alike can stop by this unique combination of ice cream and souvenir shop slash petting zoo. You can even feed the goats and become an official “Goat Ranger”! And yes, as the name implies, there are many goats … on the roof. Getting your picture taken with these friendly animals works best with the $1 feeding cones that will definitely make you some new friends.

The cones are delivered to the goats via a Rube Goldberg-esque bicycle contraption that elevates cups of food to the roof. When you’re done, peruse the selection of Amish goods, homemade fudge, and ice cream. Mine for gems and sit by the fire to roast marshmallows.Â
