Around 2008 a group of enthusiasts came together to introduce the history of the Second World War. They collected a variety of historical materials and artifacts and also tried exploring the remaining post-World War II German fortifications around Klaipeda city (formerly known as Memel).

This strange museum is located in a German bunker by the beach of Giruliai. Memel-Nord museum is not only a bunker, but also a historical monument for the history of Klaipeda. You will be able to travel back in time, feel the real spirit, see the life of the bunker and explore real artifacts, such as uniforms, bombs, food boxes, etc. You are usually welcomed by one of the three superb fanatic “guides” who are showing you around, telling you stories.
