Pleasure Beach Ghost Town

The abandoned ruins of a Victorian beachside amusement park

5

In 1996, arsonists burned the bridge connecting Pleasure Beach to the rest of the world, turning the once popular amusement park into the newest and largest addition to Connecticut's ghost towns.

In 2009 the carousel, bumper car area, and a bandstand were all demolished, and in 2011 the remaining cottages were demolished as well, leaving behind only a few traces of the former park.
