This transformed World War II bunker is now a shrine dedicated to the victims of the war. The site was damaged by vandalism and closed to the public for some time. When restoration began, much of the shrine was damaged including significant flooding.
Rubble and water were removed and the shell walls and artwork were painstakingly restored to its former glory using photos to guide the restoration team.
