Terrorism can take a lot of forms. One terrorist attack, a forgotten footnote in history despite being the largest bioterrorism attack in US history, took the form of fast food.

Formed in the 1970s, the Rajneeshee movement was a cult of personality set up around an Indian guru known to his followers as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. Espousing a particularly 1980s hedonistic vibe, Rajneesh amassed a huge following of searchers who came to live with him in his commune in Oregon.

For the vast majority of those followers, life on the compound was good, and they were there to try and grow as people and experience the wonders of free love and group dining. However a small group of Rajneeshees, acting in the interest of Rajneesh and led by Ma Anand Sheela, undertook a vast criminal enterprise, complete with assassination plots, wiretapping, fraud, and culminating in an attempt to poison an entire Oregon city.

It takes one bad egg, to poison the tacos. Check out our YouTube page, and click here to subscribe!
