They’re quick, they’re clever, they’re masters of disguise and every year public radio program Science Friday dedicates a week to celebrating them. Cephalopod Week, Science Friday’s annual celebration of some of the smartest, most interesting invertebrates on Earth, is back, and Atlas Obscura and Science Friday are teaming up to make the first cephalo-party in Denver!
Join us for an evening of talk, tentacles, and merriment, featuring four original short films from Science Friday and hands-on sample demonstrations from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. This evening is your chance to rub elbows with cephalopod and marine life experts and enthusiasts — and ask them anything you want to know about these amazing, adaptive, and sometimes creepy creatures.
You'll join other Atlas Obscura Society members, Science Friday fans, and Colorado Public Radio listeners, for this very special screening. Sip enchanting beverages, engage in riveting conversation, and occasionally hide your face in your hands as you enjoy scenes of giant octopus attacks from vintage cult film.
