On Obscura Day, take a fascinating trip through Prague's famed Palac Lucerna—a multi-functional complex of shops, theaters, halls, bars, cafes, and clubs that occupies an entire city block in the very center of the city.
You will be guided through this wonder of early 20th-century architecture and discover the history of its illustrious founder—the former president Vaclav Havel's grandfather, who also established the nation's film industry. Several surprises await within its secret hideaways and you'll get special access to the building's rooftop, via one of the city's last remaining paternoster elevators.
- Meet your guide at the Stepanska 61 street entrance.
Riding the paternoster elevator is easy but requires caution. Not for visitors with mobility issues; there will be quite a lot of stairs to climb on the tour.
Attire: City shoes—no sandals, please.
