Jack Kerouac House

Enjoy a special reading of Kerouac's haiku, followed by a tour of the prolific writer's final home.

This Obscura Day, bring a chair or blanket and sit on the lawn of the Kerouac House in College Park, Orlando, while the Current Writer in Residence, Shasta Grant, reads haiku from Jack Kerouac. Afterwards you'll tour the historic home where Jack lived with his wife and ailing mother while producing one of his most iconic works, The Dharma Bums, in 1957 and '58.
