Atlas Obscura Society Seattle and Brenden Monroe welcome you to an evening of Tarot-divined insights within the historic MarQueen Hotel.
Designed by popular Architect V.W. Vorhees and tracing its history to 1918 where it originally served as the home of the Seattle Engineering School, the MarQueen Hotel has had many lives: Institution to retrain blacksmiths to work at Ford; autobody garage; and an apartment building where serial killer Ted Bundy once lived. Today, the Tin Lizzie Bar occupies this atmospheric space.
Tarot has been used for divining understandings of the past and future as far back at the 1700s. Whether the work of an occult supernatural force, or the intuition of a talented reader, undergoing a reading can be a stirring experience. For those so bold, two readers will be present to provide individual insight. Come with your questions about career, relationships, and life. While you wait, test your skills of logic and reason on a series of brain teasers and games.
Join us on the centenary of this landmark building for conundrums, cartomancy, and cocktails.
