Masterworks From the Henry Art Gallery's Print Collection

Join print scholar Benjamin Levy for a private tour of the Henry's print collection.

Join Shin Yu Pai, Head of the Atlas Obscura Society Seattle, for a special visit with Benjamin Levy, print scholar and former Assistant Curator of Collections and Academic Programs at the Henry Art Gallery at the University of Washington.

In this 90-minute program, we'll visit with Benjamin to view masterworks from the Henry's print collection and learn about the birth of the printed image in the Renaissance. We'll consider the "unique multiple," the technical aspects of these images, and the role they played in the spread of information and artistic development. We'll have an opportunity to closely examine these works of art—some created over five centuries ago—that have newly been acquired by the museum and have never been on view.
