Spend an evening aboard the tall ship Lady Washington with Shin Yu Pai, Head of the Pacific Northwest Obscura Society, and Atlas Obscura! Guests will spend two hours on Lake Union with lively performances by accordionist Kyle Hanson of The Murkies and tales of mythical sea monsters from Seattle author and filmmaker Daryle Conners.
Passengers will board Lady Washington from Lake Union Park and be given a brief safety orientation before leaving the dock. Afterwards, guests will be able to assist Lady Washington’s crew in setting the sails as the boat sets underway. Daryle Conners will share tales of Willatuck, the Sea Serpent of the Puget Sound, as well as other notorious monsters, including Cuddy, a sea-dwelling Cadborosaurus and the Northwest Tree Octopus. Kyle Hanson will entertain passengers with shimmery ambient solo accordion performances.
This program is presented in collaboration with Gray's Harbor Historical Seaport who are managing ticket sales for this event.
