New York City boasts 13 different carousels throughout its parks and public spaces, with 6 of them being antique, wooden carousels - some 100 years old. This excursion invites you to take a trip back in time as we discover history through the lens of this whimsical amusement and ride two rare, antique, wooden carousels in Brooklyn.
Designed especially for adults with a spirit of magical adventure, this tour will cover the ancient history of the carousel, its rise and fall in Europe and America and the American immigrant carvers who helped create a multi-million dollar entertainment industry during the "Golden Age of Carousels." Join us to enjoy the magic and history of these delightful amusements.
