Obscura Day 2015: Celebrating the Coelacanth at the International Cryptozoology Museum

Obscura Day 2015 is also Happy Coelacanth Day!

Join us at the International Cryptozoology Museum for a celebration of the coelacanth, the darling of the cryptozoology world.

This Obscura Day the world's only cryptozoology museum, The International Cryptozoology Museum, will honor "Happy Coelacanth Day" in celebration of the first live filming of an Indonesian coelacanth on May 30, 2006. The discovery of the first coelacanth inspired the making of The Creature of the Black Lagoon. Museum director Loren Coleman will give ongoing guided tours of the Museum through out the day, discuss the coelacanth/Creature linkages, and introduce visitors to a 20 minute documentary about the production of the Creature movies. Each visitor will receive their very own replica of a coelacanth!

Saturday, May 30; 11am - 3:30pm (Open Admission)
