Obscura Day 2015: Climb Mount Hollywood

Experience 360 degree views of Los Angeles from Dante’s View

Join Casey Schreiner, founder of Modern Hiker, on a moderate six mile loop through Griffith Park.

Discover Griffith Park's secret histories as we hike up Western Canyon to Mount Hollywood, visiting Dante’s View along the way. On the way back, we’ll pass through Berlin Forest and the Griffith Park Observatory and soak in views of the Hollywood Sign before ending right next to Trails Cafe. If you’ve got energy (or are walking up from Western Boulevard), we can finish with a shaded stroll through Fern Dell, too.

Notes for this adventure:

- This a moderately difficult hike. We will be hiking about 6 miles round trip at a moderate pace. This hike includes areas of intense elevation gain so be prepared to work up a sweat and bring lots of water and sun protection.

- We will be meeting across the street from the Trails Cafe (2333 Fern Dell Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90068). There should be plenty of street parking on Fern Dell Dr, just north of the cafe.

All ticket sales are final.
