Obscura Day 2015: Bottle Art of Phantasma Gloria

Hidden in Echo Park is a glorious glasswork homage to the Virgin of Guadalupe.

In front of an Echo Park home known as Randyland, a rainbow of colors is refracted through bottles and glass hanging in the sculpture web of Phantasma Gloria.

Join the Obscura Society LA and Field Agent Robert Hemedes on a guided tour of Randyland. Led by the artist Randlett 'Randy' Lawrence, we will learn the history, meaning, and significance of Phantasma Gloria. Arriving early to catch the morning light, we'll experience the bottles refracting the sunshine, creating a beautiful glow of color, light, and a topsy-turvy view of the world contained in each bottle.
