Join us on a journey of discovery as we take to the rivers and the jungles of Mexico to explore two of the country's most impressive archeological sites.
This Obscura Day, Wayak Tours will guide us down the Usumacinta River that runs between Guatemala and Mexico to explore the isolated ruins of Yaxchilan, an ancient Mayan site only accessible by boat and notable for its incredibly detailed stone sculptures and extensive hierogylphics. We'll then proceed to the heart of the Lancandon jungle with the howling of monkeys over our heads to reach the colorful murals of Bonampak, which date all the way back to the 8th century.
