Experience the strange and fascinating phenomenon of fluorescence at Amsterdam's Electric Ladyland, The First Museum of Fluorescent Art. You'll see the museum's extraordinary collection of fluorescent minerals from all over the world. Colorless and dreary in everyday light, they burst into glorious color when displayed under ultraviolet lamps. You'll explore the museum's participatory environment, a dreamscape of synthetic plastics and acrylic, colored with fluorescent and phosphorescent hand-made paints. There are also pieces of rare fluorescent mineral artwork from the 1950s included in the demonstrations, as well as common items that are fluorescent.
