Join us on Obscura Day for a rare behind-the-scenes look at one of the country's oldest libraries, the legendary Boston Athenæum.
The Athenæum’s collection of fine art is one of the most significant to have been formed in the United States in the first half of the nineteenth century, and many of these paintings and sculptures are on view throughout the building. Also on view are a number of highlights from the institution's collection of rare books, including George Washington's personal library and the King's Chapel collection.
This docent-led, hour-long tour will be exclusively for Atlas Obscura.
Location: 10 1/2 Beacon Street
Time: Two tours at 10 AM & 1 PM
