Sarajevo is one of the world's most beautiful and ravaged cities, a center of culture and tolerance for hundreds of years that was nearly destroyed by the Bosnian war of the 1990s. Join us for an all-day tour that captures the city's historic beauty and monuments to war.
You'll visit the War Tunnel, the hand-dug passage that saved thousands of lives during the Serbian siege, and the excellent museum that explains it. You'll see Sniper Alley and the Markale Massacre site, as well as still-visible bunkers, minefields, tank tracks, trenches, bullet holes, and grenade shrapnel, while learning about the origins and course of the war, and how Sarajevo has recovered from it.
Saturday, April 16; 9:00am - 6:00pm
Ticket Cost: 40 euros, and capacity is limited. RSVP REQUIRED.
