Join us on Obscura Day for an inside look at how the Old Ballard Liquor Co. distills its unique hard liquor concoctions, straight from the recipe book of Martha Washington!
The proprietor of Old Ballard Liquor Co will take us on a tour of the distillery floor. We will learn how to use the curious equipment, seemingly lifted from the laboratory of a mad scientist, and will have the chance to combine various hand-picked ingredients to create new flavors and varieties of old standards. It's a relaxing afternoon of classic mixology, perfect for both the seasoned bartender and the cocktail rookie.
After the tour we'll taste the fruit of the distillery's labor, from the Knotty Viking to the "George and Martha." Afterwards, one can wander around Old Ballard, the historic portion of the Ballard Neighborhood of Seattle, influenced by its Scandinavian-American history.
Choose from two different start times: 1pm or 3pm. Note that this event is strictly 21+; please bring I.D.
Saturday, April 16; 1:00pm - 1:30pm OR 3:00pm - 3:30pm
