As the founder of Prey, her eco-friendly taxidermy studio, and one of the premiere taxidermist in the country, LA-based Allis Markham has been at the forefront of the taxidermy resurgence.
Her career started under the tutelage of Master Taxidermist Tom Bovard at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles and has since blossomed with her winning several awards and ribbons at the 2015 World Taxidermy Championships.
The evening lecture will take place at the Museum of Unnatural History, the storefront for 826 DC - a creative writing/tutoring center with chapters across the country. We will get to see examples of Allis' finest work, learn about her technique, and take a deep dive into the world of taxidermy.
Wine will be served, so 21+ only please.
