One of the oldest "garden cemeteries" in town, Rosehill is full of heroes, villains, and some lesser-known eccentrics, with some of the city's most captivating artwork. Author and Historian Adam Selzer leads a fascinating, often hilarious stroll through history. Sneer at the grave of a notable racist, tip your hat to the man who thwarted a Civil War insurrection, admire a statue that was once in Lincoln Park, puzzle over the mystery of a supposed Revolutionary War soldier, and allow yourself a chuckle at the guy whose name is "Bangs" and whose gravestone features a train going into a tunnel. Every tour is a bit different - there's always more to discover, and Adam just can't leave those curiosity doors locked!
Adam Selzer hosts the Mysterious Chicago podcast and blog, and is the author of several books, including Flickering Empire: How Chicago Invented the US Film Industry, Ghosts of Chicago, Mysterious Chicago: HIstory at its Coolest, and an upcoming book about H.H. Holmes. He has been a tour guide for over a decade.
