Running a city requires meticulous record keeping, but where are all those documents stored and archived? Inside over 150,000 storage boxes.
Join Field Agent Robert Hemedes and City Archivist Michael Holland as we explore the LA City Archives, a fascinating collection of records and artifacts dating back to the 1820's. During this tour, Michael will discuss the history of the archive and share a few of the fascinating documents, records, and artifacts that are stored inside.
Explore the neighborhood! After the LA Archives tour (approximately 2 hours), Robert will lead the group to other hidden and obscure sites near Union Station, Olvera Street, and Chinatown. An optional lunch (not included in the ticket price) will be offered at a restaurant in Chinatown.
