Obscura Society NY: Road Trip to New Haven

Leave New York behind and hit the road with Atlas Obscura for a full day exploration of the wonders and curiosities of New Haven, Connecticut

Explore an ancient underground cemetery, climb the Harkness Tower to witness the carillon being played and visit Cushing's collection of 400+ jarred brains!

The New York Obscura Society is New Haven bound! Join us as we head north for a full day exploration highlighting a few of our very favorite Connecticut listings. Featuring the diseased brains of the Cushing Brain Collection, the massive carillon of Yale's Harkness Tower and the graves of some of New England's earliest residents at the crypt of Center Church-on-the-Green, we're looking forward to a full day of adventure and wonder with a few surprises along the way!
