When Bob Baker and Alton Wood purchased this downtown theater from Academy Award-winning special-effects artist M.B. Paul nearly 50 years ago, their goal was to make it the place to see the best puppet shows on Earth.
Now the longest running puppet theater in the country, The Bob Baker Marionette Theater has been delighting, charming, and amazing kids of all ages with its nearly 3,000 marionettes and constant rotating shows for over 40 years.
Afterw the show, Obscura Society will be given an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the historic theater and given the chance to get up-close and personal with these puppets!
While Mr. Baker is now retired, he's been known to puppeteer on occasion. Rumor has it, he maybe there this day.
