OBSCURA SOCIETY NY: MAGICIANS AND MEDIUMS - A Night Tour of Green-Wood Cemetery

Join us as we explore the occult and the esoteric after dark at historic Green-Wood Cemetery and pay respect to the spiritualists and illusionists interred within!

A magician killed by his own autopsy, a woman who spoke to the dead, and a girl who stopped eating and got second sight — all are now entombed amongst the nearly 600,000 graves in Brooklyn's Green-Wood Cemetery.

On this night tour, we will pay our respects to these illusionists and spiritualists. Established in 1838, Green-Wood was planned as a Victorian garden of mourning, predating Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum, with winding paths amongst 478 acres of glacier-carved terrain. This is a rare chance to experience that 19th-century splendor by moonlight.

Led by our resident cemetery aficionado Allison Meier, come prepared for a walk through some of the stranger forgotten stories of New York City.
