This SXSW, explore Austin's waterfront with GORE-TEX Brands, two local nature conservancies, and Barton Springs Bike Rental.
First, you'll grab a bike and gear. In addition to free bicycle rentals, cyclists will be able to test GORE-TEX INFINIUMTM Stretch Gloves and jackets with GORE-TEX SHAKEDRY® product technology (weather permitting) on this ride. Samples will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, as sizes permit.
We'll begin with a brief stop at Ai Weiwei's Forever Bicycles sculpture, an installation presented by Waller Creek Conservancy and The Contemporary Austin, as we discuss the intersection of art and nature. Then, we'll cruise around the lake on our way to Barton Springs accompanied by The Trail Foundation, with stops to see iconic Austin sites and discover natural wonders along the way.
This excursion is part of In the Element, a two-day activation presented by Atlas Obscura & GORE-TEX Brands at the Waller Creek Boathouse on Lady Bird Lake.
