For this special weekend event, we will convene at the unique Convent Philly with nationally recognized taxidermy and bone articulation gurus!
Saturday, March 10th
Mark Breen-Klein is a biomedical engineer and artist living in the greater New York City area. His passions for science and nature have led him to work with zoos, museums, nature reserves, and research facilities. Mark creates scientific art from deceased reptiles so that the natural wonders he adores can live on and continue to educate even after death through the fascinating process of bone articulation. Participants will go home with their very own specimen.
Sunday, March 11th
Wet Specimen and Curio Box
New York City taxidermists Divya Anantharaman and Katie Innamorato demystify the practice of taxidermy, shatter stereotypes, and make taxidermy accessible to all. Committed to sustainable sourcing and wildlife conservation, the authors are part of the vanguard of young taxidermists who bring new life to this age-old craft. Participants will go home with their very own specimen.
