SOLD OUT: The World's Weirdest Theme Park Rides

Take a virtual tour of exotic, forgotten, and just plain strange theme park rides from around the world.

For every Disneyland, there's a dozen Astroworlds—second and third tier theme parks whose attractions don't quite measure up to their mainstream counterparts. With their comparatively modest budgets, these theme parks rely on inventiveness to compensate for lack of brand names, and their attractions frequently reflect local customs and folklore, providing insight into the places that created them.

Join Atlas Obscura for a POV screening of ride videos collected from parks around the world. You'll see rides fashioned from actual construction equipment, like at Diggerland in Kent, England, a Moody Blues themed attraction from the short lived Hard Rock Park, and a larger than life, anatomically-correct walkthrough of a pregnant woman's stomach in Mexico.

We'll also explore classic and beloved rides that are no longer operational. Theme park enthusiast andAtlas Obscura Field Agent Adam Papagan will begin each video with a discussion of the ride's design and inspiration. Adam is a tourism industry professional who also leads occasional Disneyland Secrets tours for Atlas Obscura. He is also a professional tour guide and creator of The O.J. Simpson Tour and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Tour. No height requirement to participate, but the event is 21+.

  • Must be 21+ to attend.
  • Parking: Street parking or pay lot next to the venue.
  • All sales are final.
