Sardinia’s “Threads of God” pasta? Egypt’s 2000-year-old egg ovens? Join us for a toast to the release of this exciting new volume!
During this one-hour experience you’ll get to talk with Cecily Wong and Dylan Thuras, the authors of the book; learn how to make a curious cocktail with ingredients you likely have at home with Tory Pratt of Pratt Standard Cocktail Co.; and then we’ll have a fascinating culinary conversation with special guest, James Beard Award-winning culinary historian, Michael W. Twitty!
While you can purchase tickets to just the event, if you purchase a copy of the book with your ticket to this digital launch event, you’ll receive a signed copy of the Gastro Obscura book! We hope you’ll join us for an exciting evening of food, drinks, and wonder! (Book pre-orders will be fulfilled by Brooklyn-based independent bookstore, Books Are Magic, and will be sent out via priority mail on or soon after the book's 10/12 release date.
