What We’ll Do

Enjoy an intimate viewing of artworks from the collections of The Henry, while we examine the nature of creative connections among artists from the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

In this hour-long program with Ann Poulson, Associate Curator of Collections at the Henry Art Gallery at the University of Washington, you will view works from the Henry’s collection by artists who are all connected to each other in some way.

We'll examine pieces by members of self-defined working groups, such as f/64, which included Ansel Adams, Imogen Cunningham, and Edward Weston; romantic partners like April Gornik and Eric Fischl; teachers and students like Shoji Hamada and Patti Warashina; and friends like Christopher Bucklow and Adam Fuss.

With Shin Yu Pai, Head of the Atlas Obscura Society Seattle, you'll have an opportunity to closely examine a wide range of art works, including photographs, prints, drawings, and ceramics, some of which have never been on view to the general public.
