What We’ll Do

The history of science is riddled with stories of accidental discoveries. Join your host, Kelly Reidy, for a special members-only evening as she leads you down a rabbit hole of missed targets and unexpected consequences. If you aren't an Atlas Obscura member yet, learn more here.

Get inspired to go with the flow as you learn about the characters and circumstances surrounding different discoveries, as well as the science behind each. Will the journey end in a Nobel Prize or a melted chocolate bar? Tune in to find out!

Accidental Discoveries is a series of talks revealing accidents that led to major discoveries in a different area of science each week, including astronomy, math, biology, and more!
