We are looking for an outstanding Sales Director to join our advertising and brand partnerships team, leading sales efforts with all West Coast-based agencies and clients. You should have a passion for digital media, branded content, sponsored events, and innovative, integrated marketing programs. Most important, you should be inspired by Atlas’ mission to redefine wonder and curiosity.
The role can be based in Los Angeles or San Francisco, working remotely, with occasional travel between markets and to our Brooklyn headquarters.
Description of Responsibilities
- Lead sales to all of Atlas’ West Coast-based agency clients.
- Grow territory revenue through innovative digital, integrated, event, and branded content programs.
- Responsible for full client relationship, from development through pre- and post-sale.
- Develop strong relationships with senior client and agency partners.
Specific Responsibilities & Expectations
- Have a consultative sales approach built around creative ideas and client problem-solving.
- Have a deep understanding of digital media trends, the branded-content marketplace, and emerging platforms.
- Have strong relationships with large and boutique agencies alike as well as client decision makers.
- Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a small team, focused on building a multi-platform media brand that means something to its readers.
- Have a passion for remarkable journalism and digital media.
- 6+ years of digital media or sales experience.
