Even Midtown Manhattan Has Its Secrets

There are treasures hidden in plain sight in America's most commercial neighborhood.

Midtown Manhattan! The famed neighborhood is home to such iconic New York City institutions as Radio City Music Hall, the Empire State Building, Grand Central Terminal, and of course, Times Square. Tourists flock to it, while locals try (and yet often fail) to avoid it.

It might seem impossible to find anything wondrous or obscure down the street from M&M’s World or Rockefeller Center, but look again. Once you’ve peeled back Midtown’s layer of neon-shaded tourist traps, there is a plethora of curious sights and sounds hidden around most every corner.
