Alley Cats
Hundreds of cat sculptures lounge on walls, lamp posts, window sills and walls as part of Denver's "Between Us: The Downtown Denver Alleys Project".
Hundreds of cats sit, lounge and sleep on every imaginable surface in the alley behind Larimer Square in Denver.  Titled “Alley Cats” the 300 cat sculptures sit on window sills, walls, lamp posts, railings and utility boxes in the alleyway between Larimer Street and Market from 14th Street to 15th Street.  Installed as part of Denver’s “Between Us: The Downtown Denver Alleys Project”, the cats are a whimsical art project created by Kelly Monico with funding from Bonfils-Stanton Foundation.
There are four other art installations in Denver’s alleyways that include
- “Air Freshener” by Carlos Frésquez
-“I should be crying but I can’t let it show” by Stuart Semple
-“Public Bodies” by Frankie Toan
-“Y/Ours” by Joel Swanson
They are spread through the Downtown area.Â
