Annie’s Canyon trail is a gorgeous 1.4 mile hike along the San Elijo Lagoon. It is an easy to moderate hike with a few challenging spots. Follow the signs which will keep you on the path that leads to a colorful sandstone slot canyon. Hike up through the canyon to experience amazing panoramic views of the Lagoon.

Know before you go:

There are several trail heads in the area, but there are signs to guide you in the direction of the slot canyon.

Parking is available on the street in a residential neighborhood. From Lomas Santa Fe Dr., turn north onto N. Rios Ave. until the street ends.
