Bobbie's Dairy Dip
This seasonal soft serve shack has been doling out silky swirls since 1951.
Bobbie’s Dairy Dip is the definition of a Nashville institution, serving silky soft serve from March through October. Since the 1950s, this diminutive lime green shack has been tempting leisure-seekers to pull off of Charlotte Pike and over for a treat.
Even as the surrounding area fell into decline, Bobbie’s remained cheerfully committed to the art of a summertime snack. And while the place has changed owners over the years, it’s retained its aura of pure all-American dairy bar nostalgia. For the full experience, order your cone dipped in chocolate and showered with sprinkles.
Following renewed commercial interest in the area that began in the late 1990s, the seasonal establishment now boasts neighbors that serve some of the best Vietnamese and Korean food in the city. Hungry? Check out Korea House or VN Pho & Deli before grabbing a dipped cone for dessert.
