Brooklyn Grange Rooftop Farms

The world's largest rooftop soil farm.

Backdropped by the Manhattan skyline is an expansive urban farm covering two rooftops in New York City, and a lush 2.5 acres. First conceived in 2009, the farm, run by Brooklyn Grange, now produces 50,000 lbs of organic produce annually.

Brooklyn Grange also participates in multiple community collaborations with youth, refugees, and other groups. It hosts the New York City Honey Festival and other events, and designs green spaces through its Design and Installations division. What a lovely place, cultivating good food and opportunities for connection.

Know Before You Go

The rooftop farm is not open to the public seven days a week. Before making the trip, be sure to consult their visiting hours.
