Capitol Hill’s main park is a public sanctuary and community hub, complete with multiple promenade paths, a kids’ play area, a fountain, a reflecting pond, and athletic fields. Locals can often be seen playing on the oversized chessboards. One of the more recent additions to the park is the AIDS Memorial Pathway, a series of three art installations by Horatio Hung‑Yan Law. They can be experienced in daylight, but at night, LED lights sets them aglow.
