Irish name: Aillte Chiarraí.
A beautiful stretch of 1.000 feet high cliffs that were formed 400 million years ago. The cliffs offer views of the Skellig Islands (with an early Christian monastery that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Puffin Island in the distance.
Know Before You Go
There is a café where you can sip on Irish tea, have a scone and enjoy the fantastic view.
Make sure to also visit the Skellig Islands by boat (if the weather allows it). The boat tours have to be booked in advance and depart at the nearby Portmagee marina in the mornings.
