Connecticut Valley Hospital Cemetery
A historic cemetery for patients from the Connecticut Hospital for the Insane
The cemetery was founded in 1878 and houses the graves of around 1700 patients who were once under the care of the institution. The burials were carried out with numbers instead of names until 1957. In 1982, the cemetery was officially recognized as a historic place of national importance and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
