On our latest permanent exhibition we are trying to present the rich traditional folk culture of Fejér County with the help of our ethnography collection. The visitor can follow the items through the rustic culture: the making, the use and the function of these items. From the Middle age until 1872 the trade guilds produced the most of the craftsman products. The visitor can see the oldest and most beautiful pieces of our collection: flags, chests, privilege letters, guild letters, giant mugs, signs and artefacts prove that Székesfehérvár has been a significant centre of trade guilds. Beside the craftsmen the carving shepherds and peasants are also presented on our exhibition.

The step of creation is followed by the phase of trade, which is presented as a market with lots of artefacts. In the second part of our exhibition we show items of honey-cake-makers, cutlers and of the famous potters from Csákvár.The third part presents the function, use and role of the artefacts. On the pilgrims, who are on their way to the quietus of Bodajk, we can see national dresses from Székesfehérvár-Felsőváros and Mór. We present the folks customs and traditions of feast days in Fejér County. The exhibition ends with the presentation of the popular saint’s cult in our territory. With the help of the info stand visitors have the opportunity to get further information about the items, documents and about the exhibition.
