About
While train travel remains a common form of transportation in Vietnam, the Dalat Railway Station lived a short life—from just 1932 to 1968. However, the station is still a beauty. It’s easy to access and entry is about 10,000vnd (about $0.50). Inside the station, visitors can purchase ice cream, chidlren's toys, and ticket to ride the train on a scenic, 7-kilometer journey to a nearby town, Trai Mat, and back.
The station features both a modern engine and an antique one. One of the old train cars has been turned into a cafe, and there are a few more cafes and gift shops on site. The station is quite nondescript from the street outside, but inside it bustles as if it were still a fully functioning train station.
