Dinosaur National Monument
Jensen, United States
The broader setting for Dinosaur National Monument is at the confluence of the Green and Yampa Rivers. Jeremy Sell (https://thelifeofyourtime.wordpress.com/2013/08/20/dinosaur-national-monument/)
Dinosaur National Monument is spread over 210,000 acres along the Colorado and Utah border, and encompasses spectacular scenery, in addition to offering a unique exhibit hall that is carved out of an ancient river bed. The site was designated as a National Monument over 100 years ago, in 1915, and displays an estimated 1,500 dinosaur fossils visible in a cliff face at the famous Carnegie Quarry, most of which appear to have been washed into an ancient river bed.
