Originally opened in 1933 by Dick Dunkle, this Pennsylvania gas station has managed to retain its classy architectural style to this day. It’s a far cry from the interchangeable efficiency of most modern gas stations. This Art Deco-style gas station is a real roadside Americana on the former Lincoln Highway.
It’s still owned by the Dunkle family (Jack, son of Dick Dunkle and his wife) and will probably remain in the family for future generations.
