Italia in miniatura
Italy is full of wonders but you can see all of them in a few hours in this scaled replica of the beautiful European country.
Just a few kilometers from the seaside resort of Rimini this miniature park takes you in a journey all around Italy but this is not the only attraction found here.
Italia in miniatura is a miniature park that features hundreds of 1:25 and 1:50 replicas of famous monuments and buildings from all of Italy, from the Leaning Tower of Pisa to the Christ the Redeemer of Maratea, from the Colosseum to the Towers of Rovigo, world-famous and little-known places are represented with great accuracy. Several miniature trains run around the system with functioning train stations and drawbridges and even an erupting Mount Etna is represented. North of the miniature Italy, reproductions of various famous European buildings are also present and can be seen after passing the miniature Alps.
In the nearby 1:5 replica of some parts of Venice a gondola ride allows to navigate the canals and also stop in Piazza San Marco to see the 70-feet-tall replica of St. Mark’s Campanile. The park also hosts a parrot reserve and a science-oriented pavillion with various experiments and games. There are also some other attractions found in typical amusement parks, mostly for children. A monorail runs around the whole park.
Know Before You Go
From late march to the end of september the park is usually open every day from 10:30 am to 6 pm. In other periods of the year Italia in miniatura is open mainly during the weekends, so if you want to go but not during summer is better to check the official site to see if the park is open.
