A bookstore dedicated to the intersection of comedy and art.

This is the only bookstore in the world dedicated to the intersection of comedy and art. It was founded in 2017 by Abi Enrech, who works with Kike García, one of the creators of El Mundo Today (the Spanish equivalent of The Onion). La Llama has a huge collection of books in English, Spanish, and Catalan, plus, a great selection of humorous gifts.

Hidden in the back of the store is an art gallery that transforms into an alt-comedy theater for local performers at night. This place is a nexus of the Barcelona comedy scene so it’s not uncommon to see famous illustrators or stand-ups hanging around, signing books, or chatting with fans.

Check by the register to find satirical postcards with photos of the Eiffel Tower that say “Greetings from Barcelona!”
