Other LP homegrown crops include both standard fare and exotic species such as broccoflower, maroon carrots, jumbo yams, fingerling potatoes, pummelos, African eggplant, Belgian endive, Japanese Wood Ear mushrooms, German Kohlrabi turnips, Ukranian squash, Chinese parsley, and Jerusalem artichokes.

It is part of the Larry’s experience to use a Radio Flyer wagon or standard wheelbarrow to shop. The essence of juicy stone fruits, crisp citrus, crushed berries, and wet greens perfumes the barn stalls, creating a vibrant medley of scents that ride on the air currents created by ceiling fans overhead. Something else green is in the air–the handful after handful of cash passed from patron to checking clerk, though it’s not what you think. Part of the wonder of Larry’s is its Ripley’s Believe It Or Not prices which undeniably register in disproportionate favor of the customer–all but obliterating the high mark-ups at the standard grocery store or farmers’ market. It could be said they put the dirt in dirt-cheap.

Bottom line, unweary traveler, is if there’s ever a magical agricultural oasis to add to your adventuring list, Larry’s very well might be it–charm, farm, and all.
