Lost River Cave

The Cave Boat Tour begins with a stroll in the valley as your guide shares the tale of the infamous blue hole and the Civil War soldiers, wagons, and animals that it supposedly swallowed whole.

When you arrive at the massive cave entrance, prepare to board Kentucky’s only underground boat tour. Duck your head for just a moment as you glide under the famous wishing rock. You can touch the cool limestone ceiling before the passage opens into a cathedral-like cavern. While on the boat tour you will learn all about different cave creatures, various underground myths, and see the remnants of people long ago who used the cave for survival.
