Lucky George is a feisty tiny dragon statute that was created by architect Charles Fitzroy Doll. Doll created two of these dragon statues, one for this hotel when it was known as Hotel Russell, and the other for the RMS Titanic. Both of these dragons were named George, but given the sinking of the Titanic, only one of the statutes is considered lucky. Rubbing Lucky George is said to bring good luck, especially given the proven success of this dragon!
